Deemed “the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction & fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the universe,” DragonCon is celebrating its 30th year! It features celebrity sightings, tons of people in costumes, and workshops, panels, and demonstrations for participants.
Sept 2-4
The Decatur Book Festival began in 2006 and has since become the largest independent book festival in the country. Featuring nationally recognized authors, including many local authors, this event is not to be missed!
Paws in the Park

The event is a celebration of dogs, featuring service dog demonstrations, vendor booths, and the Paws Pledge. The event encourages pet owners to be responsible and pick up after their dogs, thus keeping area parks, sidewalks and green spaces clean and safe for everyone.
Sept 17 and 18
Taking place in Piedmont Park, this two day music festival will feature performances from The Killers, Beck, The Lumineers, Alabama Shakes, Big Boi, Chvrches, Corinne Bailey Rae, Pete Yorn, and more!
Sept 23-25
Food, dancing, and more make the Atlanta Greek Festival one of the most exciting events of the year. If you haven’t been yet, it’s worth it!
